Volumetric clarity and illusion of scale

Located in a quiet residential area, this contemporary house revisits the two-story single-family home typology through a refined architectural language.

The parallelepiped volume is worked through specific fragmentations at its vertices, incorporating balconies and covered areas that soften the monolithic reading of the building. This volumetric operation introduces a perception of three floors, an illusion that adjusts the scale and qualifies the exterior spaces.

The generous size of the openings, larger than initially planned in the subdivision, enhances natural lighting and reinforces the continuity between the interior and exterior.

A short distance from the city center, this house alters a previous subdivision in order to strictly comply with the program defined by the client, affirming a contemporary interpretation of traditional housing adapted to contemporary living.
